Reviews of Rabbityness (Child's Play Library)
I love this book and recommend it to schools wholeheartedly. It is a circle time/ P4C essential, one to share, mull over and develop into meaningful discussion. A truly beautiful and memorable title.

"I love this. Can be used in so many ways- about bereavement or loss more generically, or individuality. Stunning artwork, unusual and dazzling. Loved idea of leaving a gift behind, keeping memories of someone alive, being 'unrabbity'. Gorgeous. Yes!"

"Superb; deceptively simple book which works on so many levels- bereavement, loss, celebrating the individual, breaking with the 'norm' etc. I (also) immediately thought of Badger's Parting Gift but this is so much broader because of its rabbityness and pushing the boundaries! This even speaks to me of issues such as autism, depression, and the arts in society. Love how the illustrations expand/contract with the text. Really well structured text. Look forward to more from Jo Epsom...I want a copy. NOW."

"Love the illustrations. Bit like Badger's Parting Gift without specific death so would cover other sorts of losses. Like the loss of colour and then its return"

A friend sent this book to my older two girls (3.5 and 1.5) as a present as I've just had a 3rd (girl). I read it to my eldest this evening and she LOVED it. She wanted it again but I had to go and have a sob in another room. Absolutely fantastic. I do a lot of quaker children's work and will be recommending this to them. Keep up the good work. Beautiful.
