ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Ariane always knew how to do things just right. Until she started traveling and exploring other countries and cultures, that is. Just like Lucy, she has learned that there is more than one way to do a thing. She enjoys trying out new experiences and skills, and has come to see the world from a different perspective. However, once in a while, her inner Lucy still makes an appearance, especially when it comes to where the best chocolate comes from (Switzerland, of course!).

Ariane completed an MA in Children’s Book Illustration at the Cambridge School of Art and now lives in London with her baby daughter, husband and two cats. Her first children’s book, the award-winning Ice in the Jungle, was published in 2015.
